CASE STUDY – AIDS PREVENTION IN DENTISTRY
HOCL Hypochlorous Acid 0.046% ability to reduce bio-film within water piping systems is particularly important in the dental industry. In the USA a case study was carried out on eleven people who had died from AIDS. The source of the AIDS contamination of each of these people in the case study was, at the time, unexplainable. A thorough investigation traced the source of contamination back to a particular dentist who had also subsequently died of AIDS. The bacterial bio-film contamination in the dentists irrigation lines was identified as the most likely source of this contamination.
